I really wanted to get this one series convertible, but the Wife said cars seats didn’t go in it.

I get your feeling. When we traded our Flex in, I watched the dealer’s site pretty closely to see when it had sold, for no particular reason. Given the nature of the dealer, I was amazed that a Ford with 150k miles on it wasn’t just sent to auction.

I’d always wanted one of these but I was too college broke at the time. I understand tho. When I traded my first car in, I followed it for a year. I’m going to buy it back at some point. Way too much emotional attachment lol.

I had my first car for 9.5 years, so there was some attachment there. It decided one day that we should see what happens when the engine randomly turns off on the highway. I was planning on keeping it for a while, but that was the final straw and I traded it in on the 1.

Yeah, but I can’t fit two rear facing seats and drive. I’m too tall.

Kinda, I sold it to them and they’re reselling it. Here’s what I wrote about my experience

Interesting concept. I’ve never known anyone that was happy with a Carmax offer (myself included). I think most of those who take their offer don’t really know the cars true value, and just don’t want to deal with the hassle of selling it themselves. I could never leave $2k+ on the table. I hope that one day my time will be so valueable, that it’s not worth it to take a handful of pictures, and field a few phone calls for an extra $2-5k.

I feel you on selling used BMW’s though. I’ve been helping a friend try to sell his 2011 335i, and haven’t received a single call in 3 weeks.

I tried, took pictures made some ads, but nothing. I think I ended up leaving maybe 500-1000 on the table, which isn’t bad considering I had no interest and San Antonio isn’t a huge BMW market. I probably could have gotten more for the car if I was in Atlanta, but i wasn’t.

That’s not bad though. Chances are anyone that came to look at it would of negotiated that much off anyway.
